Support the New Activities Center
The new activity room will be a tremendous rehabilitation of the residential setting. Residents here at Mulherin Home participate in many various activities. Many Residents are members of the Very Special Arts Program and need an area for their arts and craft activities. Residents enjoy board games and puzzles. An activity room is also needed for special occasions such Christmas, birthday celebrations, visitation with family members and a TV area. Currently Residents must use the dinning room. With 34 Residents 12 of which uses wheelchairs, staff and guest, the dinning area is just not big enough. Having an activity room would greatly improve the quality of life for the Residents here at Mulherin Home. This new 1,750 square foot activity room will also serve as a shelter in the event of a weather emergency.
The Mulherin Board of Directors is seeking private contributions to raise the necessary funds for the proposed new Activity Room.
